RIH trains Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) to deliver peer-based recovery support to enhance existing treatment as well as support a recovery-oriented system of care. Successful PRS Academy applicants attend a 46-hour (one week) basic skills training course and then receive on-going support from their peers. Peer Recovery Specialists are not sponsors or addiction counselors, but instead provide recovery planning and resource utilization, individual and/or group recovery support, and recovery advocacy services. Peer Recovery Specialists are people who have lived experience with recovery who provide non-clinical recovery support to their peers through informational, instrumental, affiliation and emotional support. If you would like to sign up for this training, please print and fill out the application and send to info@rih.me Peer Recovery Specialist Academy Overview Pre-Training Assignments Peer Recovery Specialist-Volunteer Description Peer Recovery Specialist Academy Application

Our short-term outpatient program provides intensive but relatively brief treatment based on  your individual needs and  length of substance use disorder. Following stays in residential treatment programs, it is important for individuals to remain engaged in outpatient treatment programs or aftercare programs. This program helps to reduce the risk of relapse once you have left a residential setting.

Hustler’s Anonymous

“Hustlers Anonymous is a fellowship of members whose lives have become unmanageable due to the choices they have made. The only requirement for membership is the desire for a better life and a willingness to take certain suggestions. Many of us have experienced negative consequences as a result of our hustler lifestyle: incarceration, broken families, police harassment, and near- death experiences. Due to the lure of the streets we have time and again chosen the seemingly easy way out over our mothers, children and our own personal freedom. If you are tired of handing over control of your life to the system, missing your children grow up, or just ready to get out of the game, then you are ready to take certain steps. Some of these may seem hard but if you are ready to gain true respect for yourself, from your family and from your community, then you are well on your way.” Hustler's Anonymous Flyer Final
