Peer Recovery Specialist Academy$795.00
RIH trains Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) to deliver peer-based recovery support to enhance existing treatment as well as support a recovery-oriented system of care. Successful PRS Academy applicants attend a 46-hour (one week) basic skills training course and then receive on-going support from their peers. Peer Recovery Specialists are not sponsors or addiction counselors, but instead provide recovery planning and resource utilization, individual and/or group recovery support, and recovery advocacy services.
Peer Recovery Specialists are people who have lived experience with recovery who provide non-clinical recovery support to their peers through informational, instrumental, affiliation and emotional support. If you would like to sign up for this training, please print and fill out the application and send to anne@rih.me
