Tiffany Hunsley is living a life of long-term recovery. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children. Tiffany has a degree in Social Work and Chemical Dependency Counseling and she has worked as a Recovery Coach, Case Manager and Addictions Educator. Tiffany’s work with the Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Other Drug Project (CJI-AOD) and Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota (PCAMN) has helped identify ways to improve court-related performance and outcomes for children and families involved in child protection court proceedings. She has been a volunteer Parent Leader in the state of Minnesota for over six years as well as a member of a statewide parent leadership team that brings the parents voice to committees and workgroups focused on child welfare policy and practice. As a parent leader, Tiffany is currently working as part of Olmsted County’s Executive Steering Committee for Chadwick Trauma-Informed Systems Project Dissemination and Implementation and the Think Families Grant Project. Tiffany is very committed to her own personal recovery and has contributed greatly to the local recovery community, including starting “Recovery Is Happening” an awareness event to show others recovery is possible and there is no shame in seeking help.
Phil Rutherford is a person living in long-term recovery. Recovery has given him the gifts of becoming a better father, husband and employee. Recovery has also afforded Phil the opportunity to help build and give back to the recovery community. Prior to joining Recovery Is Happening, Phil was the Program Services Coordinator for Goodwill Easter Seals in Southeastern Minnesota, carrying out such responsibilities as recommending and implementing employment services in the region. He is also a co-chair of the Southeastern Minnesota Transition Coalition, a collection of industry professionals focused on gathering resources and disseminating relevant data to the Re-entry community. Prior to Goodwill, Phil spent most of his career in corporate sales, marketing, and management at companies within the Taylor Corporation, Micron Electronics, and Microsoft. After completing a Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology with a specialization in the area of Substance Use Disorders, Phil has focused on the needs of the Southeastern Minnesota recovery community. As an active member of the Rochester recovery community, Phil has considerable experience in the areas of Substance Use Disorders, Recovery, and Re-entry.
