Peer Recovery Specialist Academy

RIH trains Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) to deliver peer-based recovery support to enhance existing treatment as well as support a recovery-oriented system of care. Successful PRS Academy applicants attend a 40-hour (one week) basic skills training course and then receive on-going support from their peers. Peer Recovery Specialists are not sponsors or addiction counselors, but instead provide recovery planning and resource utilization, individual and/or group recovery support, and recovery advocacy services.

Our next PRSA training will occur June 12 to June 16, 2017 at
